Karaoke sucks!

It never ceases to amaze me. These fools line up, look up a song, then wait for their turn to crow out some shitty tune. They all think they have some talent. They don't. Of course, they all get hammered on booze. That's when the fun really starts. Sometimes, I think I just can't handle it any more. Simon of American Idol fame was known for his Blunt critiques of the singers. Sometimes he was downright rude. I know where he's coming from. Karaoke Sucks. Just Damn!

The Greatest Guitar Player

I first saw Rolling Stone’s list of the top 100 at J-Walk. I wanted to Email Acidman with the 411, but I didn’t have the time. It doesn’t matter because he found it anyway. I am a Guitar player. I haven’t played in years. Check out some of my old band’s music here.

Anyway, Gut Dude got a lot of comments with lists of the Greats. As a guitar player, I have to agree that all of those listed are indeed great. However, there is one name missing from the lists.

With the exception of Frank Zappa, he was more than a guitar player…he was a great Musician, Steve Morse is by far the Greatest Guitar player of all time. Oh! I know that’s a bold statement, but I can back it up.

In my drunken stupor, I found the tools to rip and encode just a couple of Steve Morse tunes. These are just for you.

Cruise Control…. from The Night of the Living Dregs. The Dixie Dregs, perhaps the greatest Southern Rock band ever…

Tumeni Notes…From the High Tension Wires CD. Wow!

As you listen, Steve is the only guitarist. What you hear is what you get. No Overdubs, No Bullshit.

Just Damn!

Wow!

Glenn Reynolds (The White Glenn) is not the King of the Blogosphere any longer. He is getting waxed by Melodrama. That’s HUGE! Either Frank J. has been up to his tricks or the Ecosystem is goofy again / still.

I kind of hope Frank J. is behind this somehow. Damn! Just Damn!

Updates

I took a couple of days off from the Dax Files. No, I don’t feel rested. I worked a lot the last few days and slept very little. I haven’t even felt like finishing my book. I’m in the middle of Stephen King’s “The Shining” It’s one of the few I hadn’t read.

The family is back from camping. The turtle release didn’t go very well. The turtle is back in nature, but Quint is very angry with his mom. I think I’m going to wake his little ass up early to see Mars at its closest point to the Earth in however many thousand years. A little father / son time.

I noticed a lot of new Blogs have added me to their Blogrolls lately. I haven’t really taken the time to explore each one as thoroughly as I would like. I’ll get around to it. They look as though they will be good reads.

Jerry has a sharp looking Blog—2 Lane Blacktop.

Phil is a Georgia Blogger with You Got To Be Kidding Me. I’ll put him with the other Georgia Hunts later.

Speaking of Georgia Blogs. Kelley at Suburban Blight has just added the Dax Files.

Janet chimes in with Whatever You Think. She has that busy mom thing going on.

Holly is Eager for Tomorrow, and very visually stimulating too.

Glenn is a Black Guy and funny too. You can find him at Hi. I’m Black

Julie Neidlinger has a Web Log. She linked to me a little while back. I thought I’d acknowledge it now.

While I’m at it, I’ll thank Stoney at Rebel Yell. He has linked the Dax Files.

All these links…see what I missed while the Ecosystem was down. Just Damn!
